Nepal TV Update
Here you see a photo of The National TV HQ in Kathmandu in Nepal. NLN has met there with the leadership and they have expressed interest in working us with both in person and electronically.
Recent political changes have shut down the largest private TV station called Kantipur, with which NLN also had a personal contact back in 2003. The station is now no longer broadcasting. NLN is glad to have a good contact with the National broadcaster, but very disappointed that the government of Nepal has chosen to close down a station when they have freedom of press on their law books. We hope for a soon resolution. Our desire is to work with the state and the private sector.
